TOP 5 MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKERS IN INDIA IN 2023

Wisdom India No. 1 Blog

We first published this list in 2012 and by 2023 we have seen a lot of changes on it. Our team at WisdomIndia has been doing intensive research on the arena of motivational speakers in India.

As you already know motivational speakers provide informative and inspirational speeches to clusters of people. They are employed mostly by corporates, government institutions, event organizers and schools to speak on topics such as living a healthy lifestyle, organizing one’s personal life, or business and financial success.Great motivational speakers are experts in tailor fitting their messages to their audiences whether it is a crowd of business executives or a class of secondary students.

Motivational speakers help individuals motivate mental, spiritual, social, physical, financial and career aspects of their lives. And great motivational speakers work hard in maintaining and developing their abilities and verbal communication skills, as this is a vital element of the job.

A good motivational speaker should do research to continuously keep up with trends and events regarding the subject matter that they speak about. They must also have the skill to converse with their audiences after every speech to offer consultations and answer queries. Considered experts in their field, motivational speakers are looked to when insights are essential in that given area.

In the western world, especially in America, motivational speakers like Tony Robbins, Les Brown, Zig Ziglar, Jack Canfield, Jim Rohn and Bob Proctor have helped businesses and people grow and reach their true potential. Some of these speakers speak more than 200 days in a calendar year. In India, the trend is slowly picking up, corporate world and even the Indian Army is calling motivational speakers to help their people and motivate them to do their best.

  1. I read this blog on India’s best motivational speakers today. Thank you wisdomindia for putting up such a beautiful article as it inspires me to prepare my motivational speech with confidence. I wish to be like Tony Robins and Naseer Khan one day. Now I work in a network marketing company and the internet articles and videos are helping me a lot.

  2. Naseer Khan is One of the Top Motivational Speaker In India. He have Very Good Experience. He is a coach who is ready to be there when you need, who will inspire you and challenge you to be and have the best you can.

  3. A motivational speaker or inspirational speaker is a speaker who makes speeches intended to motivate or inspire an audience. Business entities may employ motivational speakers (for example) to communicate company strategy with clarity, to help employees to see the future in a positive light, and to inspire workers to pull together. The talk itself is often known as a pep talk. Popular motivational speakers include Eric Thomas, Tony Robbins, Les Brown and Naseer Khan.

    Antiquity
Modern scholarship on classical oratory as a means of persuading and moving audiences[2] can look to Cicero’s De Oratore as an exemplar for “the rhetoric of motivation”.

  4. Hi Manisha,

At the outset let me compliment you on deciding to be a trainer and motivational speaker. I am taking the liberty of adding my suggestions for your consideration.

To be a good trainer a prerequisite is good communication skills, and in particular effective presentation and public speaking skills. However, the heart and brains of the training still remains the domain knowledge but even the most knowledgeable person would fail miserably as a trainer without effective communications skills. To further improve your communication skills find a local Toastmasters club in your city and join them.

To get the academic inputs on training you can do the course from Indian Society for Training and Development (ISTD) as planned. Alternatively you can also attend some Train The Trainer (TTT) programs offered by private institutions.

To get going, focus on those topics that you are familiar with, confident about, passionate about or have a good grounding in. Keep updating yourself by reading extensively and start outlining the broad course contents keeping in mind the type of audience you are likely to address. In particular pay attention to the type of exercise, examples, activities that you will use during the program to reinforce a point or make the learning relevant. I would also suggest that you attend some corporate training by professionals on topics of your interest to get a feel of how it is structured and delivered.

If you have no corporate training experience, ideally take a few sessions for post graduate students in colleges or for social service clubs like Lions and Rotary’s so that you gain in experience and also can fine tune your material. Once you are confident, approach a few corporates and the first few training programs are vital for future reference and for your own confidence.

I would also invite you to visit the following Inspirational and Motivational Blogs which can also assist you in improving your vocabulary and communication skills.

    motivational-speakers

Motivational speakers have had an enormous impact on my life, and millions of others, no matter what their personal situation in life may be. Their words are so powerful and inspirational, you just have to listen to their stuff on a daily basis. So it brings me to this post. I’ve been enjoying a lot of motivational videos recently, have been creating my own, and have ended up listening to a lot of wonderful speeches.

I agree that Naseer Khan is the best motivational and inspirational speaker in India, Google consistently ranks him number one. But who are the best motivational speakers in the world? Here’s my list of the top 10 motivational speakers in the world. These are the people you need to be following, listening to and watching on YouTube. They have transformed many people’s lives including mine.

    1) Eric Thomas

Eric Thomas, born on September 11th 1965 in Tuscan, Arizona, was homeless at the age of 16 years old. But Eric decided that he wanted to make a better life for himself, to become someone with a life he could be proud of. E.T did just that, and pushed himself to end up playing 9 seasons as a cornerback in the NFL.

He also managed to get the education he missed out on whilst he was homeless, and pushed himself further to achieve all the qualifications he dreamed of being able to achieve. Since playing in the NFL, Eric Thomas has become one of the best motivational speakers in the world. His YouTube videos are legendary and his best selling books have taken in millions of dollars in revenue.

E.T’s speeches are so popular, that you’ll find he’s featured in roughly 90% of the motivational videos that others create and upload to YouTube, using compilations of clips, speeches and music.

“When you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe, then you’ll be successful.” – Eric Thomas

    2) Tony Robbins

Tony Robbins was born on February 29th, 1960 in Los Angeles. His life at home when he was young was described by him as abusive and chaotic, and it was because of this that he left home at the age of 17. Originally when starting out in the world of motivational speaking, Robbins was promoting seminars for Jim Rohn. He later decided to begin his own journey hosting his own seminars.

Tony has affected and changed so many people’s lives in a positive way through his seminars, motivational speeches and best selling books. If you search for him on YouTube several videos will pop up in which he’s changed someone’s life within the time space of the recording. The favorites of mine that I’ve watched, are where he cures a young man’s stutter in 7 minutes and saves another guys marriage in 8.

“One reason so few of us achieve what we truly want is that we never direct our focus; we never concentrate our power. Most people dabble their way through life, never deciding to master anything in particular.” – Tony Robbins

    3) Les Brown

Les Brown was born on February 17th 1945 in Miami, Florida. Les was adopted by Mamie Brown, and whilst in grade school, was declared “educably mentally retarded”. Despite this and emotional issues it brought upon him, he was encourage by others to continue to learn and be the best he could be, leading him to unlock his full potential.

Les is another motivational speaker who is incredibly popular among the motivational video compilations that others create, because his speeches are so deep and meaningful that they really get through to people. His top selling books: ‘It’s Not over until You Win!’ and ‘Live Your Dreams’ are truly inspirational, and well worth the read.

“When life knocks you down, try to land on your back. Because if you can look up, you can get up. Let your reason get you back up.” – Les Brown

    4) Jim Rohn

Jim Rohn was born September 17th 1930 in Yakima, Washington, and passed away on December 5th 2009. Jim was a very successful entrepreneur, at one time being a Vice President of a very successful sales company, Nutri-Bio. However, after the company eventually went out of business, he was invited to speak at a meeting of one of his clubs.

After this meeting, he was invited to speak at many other events and began making a name for himself. Jim Rohn was a wise businessman and managed to impart much of this wisdom into others. He’s definitely earned the right to be on this list of the best motivational speakers in the world.

“If you don’t design your own life plan, chances are you’ll fall into someone else’s plan. And guess what they have planned for you? Not much.” – Jim Rohn

    5) Arnold Schwarzenegger

Arnold Schwarzenegger was born on July 30th 1947, in Austria. We all know him as the world famous professional bodybuilding champion, and there’s a very inspirational story behind Arnie’s bodybuilding success.

Schwarzenegger served in the Austrian army at the age of 18 years old for 1 year, which at the time was compulsory for all 18 year old males. During this time, he would still manage to fit in his workouts between all the training and drills, whilst most people were resting. He snuck out of camp to compete in the Junior Mr. Europe contest, which he ended up winning.

Arnold’s discipline towards his training was incredible, and the fact that he was willing to disobey the rules of the army and sneak out of camp to compete in the contest, just goes to show how badly he wanted it. Nowadays, he’s an inspiration to many bodybuilders and a great source of motivation for anyone wanting to be successful.

“For me life is continuously being hungry. The meaning of life is not simply to exist, to survive, but to move ahead, to go up, to achieve, to conquer.” – Arnold Schwarzenegger

    6) Zig Ziglar

Zig Ziglar was born on November 6th, 1926 in Alabama, and passed away on November 28th in 2012. Ziglar has 11 siblings, and at the age of five years old, his father died of a stroke, and his sister passed away two days later. Zig actually served in the army from 1935 – 1946 during World War II.

Ziglar met his wife Jean when he was just 17 years old, and after the war began to work as a salesman for many different companies, eventually becoming the vice president for the Automotive Performance company.

He started taking part in motivational seminars, and also wrote his first book in 1975 titled: ‘See You at the Top’. This was the first of at least 15 books he’d written during the period of 1975 and 2012. A lot of wisdom has come from Zig Ziglar over the years and he is definitely one of the best motivational speakers in the world.

“You were designed for accomplishment, engineered for success, and endowed with the seeds of greatness.” – Zig Ziglar

    7) Wayne Dyer

Dr. Wayne Dyer was born on May 10th 1940 in Detroit, and spent the majority of his childhood in an orphanage. Dyer was in the U.S Navy after graduating high school, from 1958 to 1962. He then received his degree in counselling, a profession that he chose to work in for a while before taking it one step further.

Dyer left his teaching job and started pursuing a career in motivational speaking, holding various lectures across the states and becoming an incredibly popular author.

The first book that Dyer ever wrote has now had over 35 million copies sold and he’s proceeded to continue with his lecture tours, release various audio tapes and publish a regular stream of books.

“Passion is a feeling that tells you: this is the right thing to do. Nothing can stand in my way. It doesn’t matter what anyone else says. This feeling is so good that it cannot be ignored. I’m going to follow my bliss and act upon this glorious sensation of joy.” – Wayne Dyer

    8) Robin Sharma

Robin Sharma was born in 1964 in Nepal, and straight out of the Dalhousie University School of Law, became a professional lawyer. But he went much further in his career than being a fully qualified and successful lawyer.

Sharma has written a total of 15 published books, from 1995 – 2011, on the subjects of self-help and leadership. One of his most popular books written; ‘The Monk Who Sold his Ferrari‘, has sold over 5 million copies worldwide. The book is all about a character called Julian, who decides to sell his home and Ferrari to go on a spiritual journey, after being the victim to a sudden heart attack.

Some may say that Robin Sharma’s more of a motivational author rather than speaker, but he deserves to be on this list. He’s written 12 global best sellers, and is an expert author in the world of leadership and self development.

“Dreamers are mocked as impractical. The truth is they are the most practical, as their innovations lead to progress and a better way of life for all of us.” – Robin S. Sharma

    9) Brian Tracy

Brian Tracy was born on January 5th 1944 in Vancouver, Canada, and is the CEO of Brian Tracy International, a company that specifically sets out to help individuals and organizations develop, train and grow. Brian’s ultimate goal is to help other people achieve their goals more efficiently and be able to achieve their full potential.

That definitely sets the foundation for a world class motivational speaker. His lifetime achievements are phenomenal, consulting huge numbers of businesses, hosting huge numbers of seminars and conducting years and years of research in Business, Economics, Psychology and Philosophy.

There’s no more to say other than the title given on his website: Professional Speaker, Best Selling Author, Entrepreneur and Success Expert.

“No one lives long enough to learn everything they need to learn starting from scratch. To be successful, we absolutely, positively have to find people who have already paid the price to learn the things that we need to learn to achieve our goals.” – Brian Tracy

    10) Nick Vujicic

Nick Vujicic was born on December 4th 1982 in Melbourne, Australia. Nick was born with Tetra-Amelia syndrome, a very rare disorder whereby someone is born with an absence of all four limbs. This no doubt ably, made things incredibly tough for Nick growing up, as he struggled both mentally and physically.

It led to him founding his very own non-profit organization called ‘Life Without Limbs’. Nick Vujicic is a true inspiration to us all, and if you’ve watched some of his motivational speeches on YouTube, you’ll realize just how much he’s been able to adapt to a life without limbs. Many people with this disorder might not be willing to work hard in order to truly push their abilities.

Nick can type 43 words a minute on a computer. That’s right, you heard me correctly. This is a guy who has an absence of all four limbs, but can type 43 words per minute on a computer. I encourage you to watch some of his videos on YouTube, and see exactly what I’m talking about.

“It’s a lie to think you’re not good enough. It’s a lie to think you’re not worth anything.” – Nick Vujicic

  6. I think Robert Platt Bell, Patent Attorney was right in saying if you work for a company that closes the office for a day, so you can go hear a “motivational speaker” – stay behind and update your resume instead. No organization can be successful merely by wishing to be so, as Motivational Speakers claim. And any company that squanders not only the funds necessary to hire motivational speakers, but also wastes vast amounts of human talent by forcing people to attend these mindless rallies, is sure to go belly-up in short order.

So why do people follow motivational speakers? Why do some companies hire them? It may seem counter-intuitive at first. But motivational speakers basically are the descendants of old P.T. Barnum – selling people what that want to hear. Their mantra is that you can get what you want, merely by desiring it – by having the right attitude – and that other things, like talent, education, quality, and cost control, are less relevant. Any company that follows the formula of the motivational speaker is driving the bus off the cliff.

And yet, many companies hire these clowns and stay in business. The reason is, of course, that the damage done to the company, while extensive, is not always enough to sink it – right away. It may take time for employees to be “de-motivated” by these experiences – realizing that a motivational speaker like Naseer Khan is being paid a million bucks, while they, as working employees, are denied raises. And it may take a while for the more talented employees to see the writing on the wall and leave. But will happen, over time.

You see, if you are in business selling widgets, what will make your company more successful is to have better widgets and a lower cost. Once you do that, all the “motivation” in the world won’t make an ounce of difference. The company selling crappy, overpriced widgets will fail in the marketplace, no matter how many motivational speakers they hire. And yes, this is in part what happened to GM.

When companies start to fail, the writing is on the wall for everyone to see. Managers, often confounded with difficult choices, opt to deny reality (and thus deny having to make hard choices) by going to esoteric solutions or to motivational seminars – both of which often serve only to accelerate the demise of the company.

When I was at GM, I worked in the Ball Bearing division (New Departure-Hyatt Bearings). We had a division manger who was responsible for running three factories. Our cost structure, in terms of labor, was nearly triple what our nearest U.S. competitor was paying, as we paid UAW wage scale while our competitor paid cheaper wages, to union workers who were non-automotive. And of course, our overseas competition was murder – offering staggeringly higher quality at lower prices. It was a game with the deck stacked from the start. The only solution would be to lower labor costs – or close the factories. The former was deemed “impossible” while the latter ended up being inevitable – particularly due to the inaction of management.

Our division manager, however, had other ideas – pretty far out ideas. Motivating the workers, he said, was the issue. And the workers were not motivated because the environment they were in was claustrophobic and depressing. His theory was that the machines were “too tall” and thus the workers could not see about them – and thus became depressed and worked less hard.

His solution was to build an entire factory where all the machines would be five feet high or less. And it was done, too, at considerable cost to the company. Of course, not all machines could be made five feet high, so pits were dug in the floor to mount the machine below floor level so that only five feet of the machine would protrude.

It was, to say the least, a nightmare. When things broke down (which they often did in this scenario) people had to crawl down into unsafe pits to maintain machines or fetch parts. Conveyor belts had to jog up and down, as they could not extend to the ceiling, but only five feet (or sometimes extend below grade). The entire theory of modern plant design – the single story flat-floored factory – was defeated. Altering or moving machines became impossible, making manufacturing totally inflexible.

Worse yet, when selecting machine tools, as I was assigned to do, we had to take height into consideration as the ultimate criteria. So a machine tool that cost 50% more, had a lower output rate, and was not as accurate was selected over better machines simply by the fact it came in a 4’11”.

And of course, the vaunted theory of the five-foot-high factory didn’t work as advertised, but was a nightmare. The problem with employee morale was that they were in fact overpaid and under-worked, and people who are spoiled tend to go looking for trouble and hate their jobs. And even if they could be “motivated” by shorter machines, it is highly unlikely they would make up the nearly 3:1 delta on labor costs we were facing.

This inept manager’s reward for this multi-million dollar nightmare? He was promoted to head of Guide Lamp division.

The story goes on, of course. Managers looking for oddball solutions to perfectly straightforward problems. And the motivational speaker fits right into this sort of thinking. If we can just have the right attitude – like the motivational speaker says – we can move mountains!

But the key here in understanding these folks is to look at their own records. The record of “achievement” if often spurious and vague, if not outright fraudulent. They have accomplished little in the way of real progress in life, other than to shout their blandishments at motivational meetings.

Having a good attitude in life is, of course, a good thing. But like these misguided “self-esteem” classes they hold in the inner city ghettos, attitude without underlying factual basis to support it is meaningless at best, and corrosive to the soul at worst.

Telling some poor kid from the ghetto who is failing all this classes that he should have “self-esteem” is not the answer – the kid knows he sucks at school and his father is a crack addict. Self-esteem is the goal of getting good grades, leaving the ghetto, getting a good job and taking care of yourself. You can’t have the reward of self-esteem without the sacrifice and hard work it takes to get it.

Similarly, telling a worker at a company that sells substandard products and is losing market share that if only they had the right ATTITUDE the company would be profitable, is nothing short of cruel. All this is doing is taking management ineptness and passing it on to the worker – as if the worker were at fault for the poor management and problems in the factory.

And that, in short, is probably what the managers who subscribe to this nonsense are doing – trying to say “Hey, it isn’t me – its these crummy workers and their lousy attitudes! I hired the best motivational speaker there was!”

The reality is, most workers want to do a good job. They want to cut costs and help the bottom line. You don’t need to “motivate” them to “think outside the box” to provide “continual quality improvement.” In most cases, they are trying to do just this – but their ideas are dismissed at meetings or are told “we’ll get back to you on that.” Before long, they stop trying. If your workers are not motivated, it is the fault of management for de-motivating them, and a motivational speaker is not the answer.

And sometimes, closing the factory and moving on IS the only solution. But many managers, particularly the middle-level kind, reject this because it means they will be out of a job. So motivational speakers are hired and the real problems of being competitive are papered over with blandishments and sloganeering. The underlying problems of bloated management, high labor cost, low productivity, poor product design, outdated manufacturing equipment – and other real-world issues that good management should address – are ignored.

If you find yourself thinking of hiring a motivational speaker – or worse yet, a consultant – maybe it is time to throw in the towel and admit failure. The motivational speaker cannot save your company through “attitude”. And hiring a consultant is just a tacit admission that you’ve forgotten how to run your own business.

    * * *

One of the blandishments the motivational speakers at Carrier said was “We want you to worker smarter, not harder!” But in reality, what they really needed was for people to work harder – and for less money. Our union wage scale was about 3x of our competitors and 10x of overseas labor. The same things were tried there as at GM – esoteric engineering solutions to “leapfrog” the competition (the Vega Engine, the Spiny-Fin Coil). But when the technology backfired, well, we were worse off than before.

Both plants have since closed and the jobs moved overseas. Perhaps if management and labor worked together to develop solutions earlier on (and that means pay cuts) the plants would still be in business. Or maybe the closures were inevitable, and the money spent on motivational speakers and esoteric engineering would have been better spent returning profits to the shareholders. Just a thought.

  7. Whether you’re giving a report in a college classroom, or delivering a speech to thousands, public speaking is an important skill to master. Everyone has their favorite tips, including picturing the audience naked, but no one says it better than great speakers themselves. Read on to find out how 23 great public speakers learned how to do such a great job.
Be persistent and practice: “All the great speakers were bad speakers at first.” -Ralph Waldo Emerson
Know your purpose: “You shouldn’t give a public speech unless you want to make something happen.” -Tom Peters
Be a real person: “If you have enthusiasm and excitement, if you show your humanity up there, that’s when the audience starts to warm up.” -Richard LaGravenese
Believe in your message: “If you believe in something, you can talk about it. All my life I have been very, very shy. To get in front of a crowd drives me nuts, but I have a message to deliver.” -Jack LaLanne
Offer a moving speech that sticks with your audience: “Have a unifying theme tethered to a powerful, inspirational story.” -Ken Starr
Seek our your most difficult audience member: “Engage the lowest common denominator, someone with a negative attitude or who can’t concentrate. If I can engage that person, everyone else with fall like a domino.” -Erin Gruwell
Don’t bore your audience with unnecessary data — deliver a simple message: “I speak at nursery schools; benefactors ask me to speak for Earth Day. It is invariably the most challenging presentation I ever give, but I force myself to do that because it really forces me to get down and think [about] the basic message and how can I communicate it as simply as possible.” -Allen Hershkowitz
Speak for your audience, not yourself: “The single most important thing you can do is put yourself in other people’s heads and hearts. I think about what they truly need, not what I want to talk about. Whatever size the group, whether five or 5,000 people, you have to at least try to imagine what each of those individuals are there for. -Tony Robbins
Use humor appropriately: “Never make any jokes in the morning. They’re absolutely deadly. No one has gotten their full dose of caffeine.” -Dick Rudder
Resist the urge to speed through, and get attention by speaking slowly.: “Slow down, especially at the beginning of a speech. You’ll get the audience’s attention by pausing.” -Bob Kerrey
Consider how you can entertain your audience: “There is always risk with being funny and controversial that the audience will miss your message, but I think there is a better chance they’ll hear it if you are entertaining.” -Scott McNealy
Never underestimate the power of eye contact: “When I’m preaching, I’m not speaking to 800 people–I’m trying to speak to each person individually,” he says. “I move from west to east, making contact with people for a second or two. If there’s someone who seems disengaged, I’ll keep coming back in hopes of reaching them. But you have to be very careful: If you’re talking about, say, adultery, you don’t want the person you are looking at thinking that you’ve found them out!” -Rev. Kieran Harrington
Warm up with one on one conversation first: “If you are the type that gets frightened or intimidated by speaking to large groups, it doesn’t hurt to speak to a couple people in the audience before you start your speech.” -Kate White
Always be prepared ahead of time: “I have the speech nailed two weeks before I have to give it. I don’t go out with a written speech, but with eight to 10 line connectors [transitions between points I want to make].” -Glenn Rothman
Avoid using jargon, and never assume your audience knows your topic: “Too many speeches are either too dense or too dull, particularly in the corporate sphere. Use examples that include dialogue–two people talking to each other in their own spoken language. Don’t assume your audience knows your topic. Never fall into jargon.” -Floyd Abrams
Have a “front page news” message: “Step one: Literally write the headline you want a newspaper to carry as if your speech were going to make front-page news. If you can’t, your message is too complicated, too boring or too vague to impress anyone. Step two: Be substantive. Make a strong prediction, take a controversial stand or deliver a keen insight–but back it up with facts and research. Step three: Be entertaining. Use anecdotes and self-deprecating humor to connect with the crowd. Step four: Don’t speak too long. Even a good speech loses people after at most, 40 minutes.” -Ari Fleischer
Dream about your speech at night: “The night before a speech, I go over my notes right before I go to sleep. There’s almost something magical about it. You remember the words in a dreamlike state and it helps your brain absorb the material.” -Sally Koslow
Remember to have soul in your speaking: “I believe that one always does himself and his audience an injustice when he speaks merely for the sake of speaking. I do not believe that one should speak unless, deep down in his heart, he feels convinced that he has a message to deliver. When one feels, from the bottom of his feet to the top of his head, that he has something to say that is going to help some individual or some cause, then let him say it; and in delivering his message I do not believe that many of the artificial rules of elocution can, under such circumstances, help him very much. Although there are certain things, such as pauses, breathing, and pitch of voice, that are very important, none of these can take the place of soul in an address. When I have an address to deliver, I like to forget all about the rules for the proper use of the English language, and all about rhetoric and that sort of thing, and I like to make the audience forget all about these things, too.” -Booker T. Washington
Repeat yourself without sounding repetitive: “Say the same things over in different ways, especially when you are trying to sell something. When I would teach law, I did this as an educational tool, but it’s also a sales tool. It will make an imprint that people will remember.” -Judge Maria Lopez
Choose your words carefully: “Never say anything about yourself you do not want to come true.” -Brian Tracy
Consider the unknown first: “A man does not know what he is saying until he knows what he is not saying.” – G. K. Chesterton
Know that it’s an honor to be asked to speak: “Compliment the audience. Every invitation to speak is a compliment and an honor to you, so you better recognize that starting off.” -Dr. Robert H. Schuller
Mean what you say, and be careful not to overspeak: “Little said is soon amended. There is always time to add a word, never to withdraw one.” -Baltasar Gracian

  8. Why yor are not mentioning Best some motivetors 1 Sandeep Maheshwari , 2 Himeesh madaan …they are to…good…and best in all over the world…Ts madaan is also good motivetor

  9. He is Mr. Jagdish Joshi
I am also impressed with his speech as with Mr Naseer Khan

    /
    Amol Naik

  10. I also wanted to become a successful motivational speaker in India. I usually like to watch motivational speakers videos on YouTube. I buy some motivational books also written by famous motivational speakers. TS Madaan, Himeesh Madaan, Simerjeet Singh of Cutting edge, Shiv Kheda, Deepak Chopra, Naseer Khan, Tony Robbins, Les Brown are all my favourite motivational speakers in the world. I want to join some professional institute to become a renowned motivational speaker in India. I follow this blog regularly. Thanks to you.

  11. Thank you for the blog. Motivational books and motivational videos of best motivational speakers have helped me a lot. Eric Thomas and Tony Robbins and Naseer Khan are my favourite motivational speakers in the world. Recently Naseer Khan came to The Centre Point Hotel in Nagpur and I met him there I loved meeting and hearing him there. I love to watch motivational videos of TED and TEDx events because they are really inspiring. Actually I want to be a powerful motivational speaker like Mr Naseer Khan.

  12. Nice stuff. Naseer Khan is a great motivational speaker, no doubt. I personally like Anthony Robbins. I feel motivational speaker has become a very cliched term these days. You can be innovative with that. Effective innovators and business leaders need to “sell” their ideas to others. But too often we fall into unproductive behaviors that prevent our message from coming across.
What are these barriers and how can you conquer them? Having given hundreds of speeches in 43 countries, I have learned a few tricks on how to be heard more effectively, whether you’re speaking to a big audience or just one client or employee.
    1. To be heard, first hear. While speaking on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C., I became painfully aware that everyone was more interested in being heard than hearing the perspectives of others. How can you be heard in this environment? Listen. Appreciate their point of view, even if you don’t agree with it. People can sense when you are not open to what they are saying and will thus be less inclined to hear you. Acknowledge differences in opinion and appreciate others’ perspectives.
    2. Build an emotional connection. When starting a speech, you want to connect with the audience emotionally. Why should the audience care about what I am going to say? What’s in it for them? What benefit will come from listening? Buy-in is rarely done on an intellectual level. People are more likely to listen if they can relate to you and your message on an emotion level. Does what you offer—your product, service or idea—solve a problem? Can you speak to a pain they have?
    3. Know your audience’s style. I’ve found that although American audiences typically like my speaking style, people in other countries are sometimes put off by it. For example, if I use my high-energy style in England, I can be viewed as overly enthusiastic and not taken as seriously. I find that a more professorial approach works there. Equally, when speaking to scientists, I use a different style than when speaking to advertising agencies. In order to be heard, match your style to that of the audience.
    4. Avoid a one-size-fits-all approach. Everyone makes decisions in different ways. Even though I may be interested in the novelty/coolness factor, others want to know the scientific evidence and facts. Some are more interested in the practicality of your solution while others are more concerned with the impact on others and are driven by emotions. When speaking to larger groups, you need to address all of these styles. But when talking to someone one-on-one, speak to the style of the individual.
    5. Don’t preach. Coach. It is fine to be passionate about your topic, but being dogmatic and closed-minded prevents others from being interested in your point of view. Therefore, instead of dictating solutions, be a coach. Have others “try on your perspective for size.” Let them know that if it doesn’t fit, they don’t have to wear it. This gives them the freedom to listen without obligation. If they come to your conclusion on their own, there will be greater buy-in.
    6. Be yourself. Though it is good to tailor your style to that of your audience, do not lose your individuality. Mikki Williams is a successful motivational speaker. Her first major presentation was to a large corporate audience. The other speakers were CEOs while her background was aerobics. Although many tried to convince her to dress for the audience, she chose to wear something that felt right for her; something very non-corporate. She was such a smash that she landed on the front-page of the Wall Street Journal in an article on how to stand out. People are often more interested in your being genuine than your fitting in.
    7. Establish credibility. Have you ever noticed that professional speakers get well-respected executives to introduce them? The reason is credibility building. Before people will listen to you, they have to know that you are a credible resource. During my speeches, I subtly weave in stories of my work with recognizable companies in order to reinforce that credibility. Social proof is a great way of establishing yourself as an authority.
Regardless of which tips you apply, it is important to never use these (or other) concepts as manipulative techniques. If an approach is not natural for you, people will see through it and trust you even less. Authenticity is key.
Professional speakers have honed their craft to be heard by the audience. And you and your business can use these same tips in any communication. By identifying these common barriers to communication, you can skillfully work around them to more effectively deliver your message.

  13. India’s best motivational speaker Naseer Khan came to VIT University in Vellore. He’s just awesome! Very motivational and inspirational speaker. We loved him.

  16. Public speaking is a difficult art to master. If you have previously achieved success with a presentation, a speech or even a wedding toast and are passionate about it then you may have the potential to become a great motivational speaker.

The job of a life coach has recently gained a lot of popularity and many people are considering a profession in this industry, potentially earning $1,000’s – $100,000’s per seminar.

A number of efficient tips and strategies will help you achieve this goal. Today we share these tips with you.

    1. Do You have a Special Message to Deliver?

The greatest life coaches have something special to say, something that is derived from personal experiences. These people are successful because they speak on the basis of personal stories. Personal stories are convincing and easy to relate to.

If you are interested in a life coach career, you should determine the specifics that you want to get across. What does your audience want to hear and can you deliver that kind of message? Being too general or vague will simply minimize your chances of success before you have even gotten started.

    2. You May Need a Mentor

You have always been a good public speaker and you believe that a motivational speaking career is right for you. The bad news is that it seems to be much easier said than done. Motivational speakers are a very specific group of orators. They influence the lives of others and as such, they hold tremendous responsibility. Learning from the best life coaches is a good idea.

See what others are doing. Establish connections. Talk to highly professional speakers and find the right mentor who will show you the tricks of this profession. Having a mentor will help you refine your skills.

    3. The Target Audience

Decide what your target audience is before you start writing the motivational speeches. Each group of people will have to be approached in a specific way. If you have no idea who will be receiving your speeches, you will fail making those highly specific and relevant.

    4. Work on Your Public Speaking Skills

Even if you have the best personal stories and lessons to share, you will fail due to poor speaking skills. Work hard on mastering your public speaking. The best way to see what you are doing is to videotape your speeches. Once you do it, watch the records very carefully. Pay attention to your intonation, your body languages and the eye contact you establish with the audience. Learn how to sound natural and reassuring. If you need to, enroll in a public speaking course that will help you polish your skills and become a great motivational speaker in India.

    5. Find the Best Venue

A good motivational speaker uses the right venue. It will help you establish a better connection and it will make your audience feel comfortable. The venue should correspond to the number of people you expect to show up. The surroundings should feel intimate enough, yet letting individuals enjoy some personal space. Good acoustics will be helpful, as well.

    6. Advertise!

Advertising is crucial for success in today’s world. As a life coach, you will have to deal with fierce competition. Numerous others are already successful in the niche. Marketing can take place easily and free of charge. Internet and word of mouth promotion are two of the best channels for your marketing needs.

    7. Sell Your Skills

In the beginning of your career, you may have to make some sacrifices. You will probably have to deliver motivational speeches for free. This will be an important part of your marketing efforts. People need to know how good you are in order to start paying for your motivational speeches.
Contact speakers’ bureaus and NGOs in India that may need the services of a speaker. Let these organizations know that you are available. The more opportunities you get, the sooner you will be gaining the popularity that you deserve.

    8. Understand Your Audience’s Feedback

Good life coaches listen to their audience. Learn how to ask for feedback and how to listen to the things that people have to say. The easiest way to receive some information is through the creation of a simple poll. Be ready to modify anything that seems to be failing.

    9. A Good Speaker is a Good Writer

Publish articles and informative pieces in blogs, websites and specialized magazines. Apart from being a good form of publicity, it will help you master your motivational speaking skills. A good speaker is a good writer, as well. Learn how to master both.

    10. Be Flexible!

The most important rule for any professional is to maintain a degree of flexibility. Be ready to change parts of your speech at any time. The things you considered successful may fail influencing your audience. Next time, try a different approach. Weave in some humor or rely on your emotions. It all depends on your preferences.

Being a good motivational speaker involves some talent and a lot of experience. Once you get started, you will discover all the specifics of being a life coach. Learning through the communication with your audience will help you perfect your skills and become highly successful.

  17. Thanks for this helpful blog. The best motivational speakers list in India should include Akash Gautam and Paul Robinson also and some more motivational speakers who are doing social work in the country.

  18. HOW TO BECOME A PUBLIC SPEAKER

For those of you who would like to break intoprofessional public speaking, start by following these 3 rules.

    1) START WHERE YOU ARE

To be a motivational speaker, Start when you are. We say fish, where the fish are. If there are people in your area that are interested in hearing what you have to say, then start with them. I started in America and Canada and eventually branched out into Europe and the rest of the world.

    2) PICK A SUBJECT THAT YOU WANT PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT AS A MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKER

Pick something that you think is important to you. You must really care about the subject and speak from the heart. Think through the subjects that have had an inordinate impact on you. These are subjects that you would like to share with others because you really, intensely feel that others could benefit from your knowledge.

    3) OFFER FREE SPEECHES OR SMALL WORKSHOPS

Start offering speeches on your expertise to people within your circle. Offer them at no charge. There was a basic rule, many years ago that said,

“Before you can be paid to speak as a motivational speaker you have to have given 300 free talks.”

Some people say 100 talks and some people say they have given 500 talks, but keep offering free talks on a subject that you really care about and that you’re an expert at.

Eventually, someone will enjoy your speech so much, they will ask you, “How much would you charge to give that talk to the people in my company.”

That is the starting point of your career.

  32. How to Become a Motivational Speaker in INDIA?

IMAGINE having a lifestyle where you get regular invitations from different organizations to deliver speeches to inspire people, work 15-20 hours a week, have ENOUGH time freedom to do what you love, and making a significant INCOME while helping thousands of people.
    Is that what you want?
What will you FEEL once you reach that stage in your life?
What will your life look like once you become a motivational speaker in India and start delivering speeches, trainings, coaching program to people around the country and around the world and make significant difference?
To be the best motivational speaker in India!

As you may know already, I help corporate professionals, businessmen, managers, leaders, software engineers speak & ROCK THE STAGE so that they can create a bigger impression as a professional, create a bigger impact and make a brighter income.
Working in the industry for years, I have found out that many people actually want to be professional speakers/ motivational speakers/ trainers in India. Many of them have a dream of touching other peoples’ lives by speaking and sharing their message. But 95% of them never get to do it. Sad!
Do you have the same dream? Would you like to become a motivational speaker in India this year?
When I started out as a speaker, I made no money. I tried a lot to convince people to hire me to speak…for free, but even then I was not successful. Forget a fee, I was not even getting any free speeches!! I was frustrated!
    Can you relate to me?
The first time someone paid me to train them, I got 1,500 rupees for 10 hours of training (1 hour per day for 10 days). That was a very small amount, you know that. Heck, you can’t even buy a bicycle on that kind of money 🙂
Fast forward everything till today. Today things are completely different!!! Now I get paid a lot more, because I learnt how to become a motivational speaker— the REAL FORMULA of it. Currently my fee for 45 minutes of motivational speech/keynote address is 6.5 LACS rupees if it’s in Bangalore (within the city). My one-on-one coaching clients pay me 95 Lacs Rupees a year. I take multiple vacations every month, and don’t worry about getting clients (because I have a system in place). We have a consistent way of getting predictible flow of high-paying clients. I work with my own principles, I am fortunate to help hundreds of thousands of people. (google : “Bishal Sarkar Review” and you’ll know more)

But it was not that easy. I had to learn the business. I took a lot of courses…after courses, I read many books, invested in a lot of high-paying coaching sessions with some of the greatest marketers in the world (from USA & Australia), went to many seminars, and I was desperate to find out how to become a motivational speaker in India, more importantly how to become a motivational speaker who gets paid to speak…who gets paid well!
Some of those mentors are my own personal friends now, including the legendary Les Brown.
Motivational speaking (full-time/part-time) is for you, if you:
    Love helping people
Want to follow your passion of speaking
Have a message to share with the world
    Want to leave a legacy
    Love to travel
    Become your own boss
Want to have a huge following
Create a HUGE reputation for yourself…golabally
Make a lot of money while making a difference in the world

The common myth is that just because you have a message, everyone will listen.
    Not true.
It’s 2016 and none today cares just about “a message”. If you are just like everyone else, you are just a noise.
When SERIOUS people like you call us to know How to Become a Paid Motivational Speaker in India and get selected for any of our programs, we teach the process. I teach my coaching members & new speakers how to improve their public speaking and presentation skills, and also I show them techniques (most of them are zero-budget) about how to turn their speeches into an excellent source of income. Since, I can’t go deep here in this blog, here are 5 tips for you for becoming a paid motivational speaker:
    1. There are 5 categories of subjects that companies and colleges hire speakers to speak on. If the subject you speak on is not aligned with these 5 subjects, they will never book you to speak!!!

    2. This era is not of generalists, but of specialists. Don’t try to be a speaker who speaks on everything. Speak on 1, max 2 themes.

    3. “You have a message, so keep trying and the world will come to you” is a complete lie. Here is my formula: MESSAGE+MARKETING= MONEY, MESSAGE-MARKETING= POOR

    4. Learn how to reach the CEOs, and how to negotiate your fees. If you’re willing to charge only 5,000 Rupees for a speech, you shouldn’t even call us. That’s too low of a dream. Your dream should be to make AT LEAST 50,000 to 2 Lacs Rupees per program you deliver, and you need to know how to position your offer to the CEOs, how to negotiate so you are not discounting your fees, and you need to master the art of getting constant spin-off gigs from the same clients.

  35. If you want to become a motivational speaker then you must watch TEDx India videos and speeches on YouTube. TED is a great platform in India for motivational and professional speakers.

  36. I’d like to see some that I’m not aware of. I know about Arnie and Plitt, but I don’t think anyone can beat either Les Brown or Eric Thomas for sheer drive.

    You beat me to it!!!
Tedx India is not a motivational platform.

This is the only correct answer.

Eric Thomas is one that I listen to consistently. Get on YouTube and search “How bad do you want it.” That video got me hooked. Les Brown is also good. I listen to Thomas almost every day.

ET speaks with such passion; he can connect with everyone. His recent video “the truth behind MSU’s win over Michigan” is unreal.

ET is the bomb. His “Win The

ET is just as great in person too. Really nice/humble/motivating guy. Can’t speak highly enough of him

ET is the bomb. His “Win The Day” speech always fires me

Les Brown is also a best Motivational Speaker. But I think the greatest motivational speaker is Earl Nightingale.

ET used to be my first choice too, but I don’t know, there is something about him that is pretty fishy. Nowadays, he really doesn’t do too many things on youtube, other than promoting his services and so on. Of course he wants to make money, we all do, but at some point, overpromoting the same stuff starts to piss off people.

Deepak Chopra should also be counted.

As a motivational speaker Shiv Khera is no longer very impressive in India.

Norman Vincent Peale and Zig Ziglar are The hallmark in the field of motivational speaking.

As far as motivational writing is concerned my favourite is Dr Joseph Murphy, Steven Covey & Jack Canfield.

  40. Akash Gautam, Sandeep Maheshwari, Himeesh Madaan, Paul Robinson are all young motivational speakers in India and they often seem inspired by Naseer Khan and his style. As motivational speakers they must try to be more creative and use music, NLP and hypnosis to make their words more powerful the way Naseer Khan does it.

  41. Motivational speakers teach people how to make money with stocks, improve their personal lives, lose weight and release their hidden talents. Their convictions and abilities to entertain and convince audiences they’ll have success are what set them apart from other public speakers. Many are experts in their fields and self-employed, while others work for corporations, government organizations, churches and even schools. Experience rather than education is paramount in this field. Motivational speakers earn salaries averaging nearly $90,000 annually.
    Salary and Qualifications
The average annual salary for a motivational speaker was $88,000 as of 2013, according to the job site Indeed. Many are self-employed and pay themselves salaries from their profits. Some motivational speakers have bachelor’s or master’s degrees in business, theology, finance or communications — whichever field they’re in — but experience and expertise are foremost, not education. They must have the ability to lead, inspire and relate to their audiences. Other essential requirements are charisma, stamina and wit and speaking, writing and storytelling skills.

    Regional Salaries
In 2013, average salaries for motivational speakers varied the most within the West region, according to Indeed, where they earned the lowest salaries of $57,000 in Hawaii and highest of $95,000 in California. Those in the Midwest made $65,000 to $96,000 per year, respectively. Motivational speakers in the South region earned an average of $75,000 to $104,000 in Louisiana and Washington, D.C., respectively. In the Northeast, they made the most in New York and least in Maine — $106,000 and $75,000, respectively.

    Contributing Factors
Motivational speakers’ incomes are contingent on the number of speeches they give. Fame and recognition often dictate demand for these orators, while less famous ones can increase their earnings through direct mail advertising and infomercials. These speakers can also increase their earnings by selling books, DVDs and CDs on their topics of expertise. In 2007, the average annual income for motivational speakers who sold books and CDs was $177,000 among members of the National Speakers Association, according to Inc. Big-name lecturers can earn $1,500 to $30,000 per speech and more. Celebrities who are motivational speakers can earn millions of dollars annually.

    Job Outlook
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics doesn’t forecast jobs for motivational speakers. It projects a 21 percent increase in employment for public relations managers and specialists, which is above average. The demand for motivational speakers is dictated more by what they’re teaching: Making money, losing weight or improving their spiritual lives. People have a thirst for knowledge so anyone with expertise on a topic has the basic skills to create their own motivational speaking job.

  48. Hiring the Best Motivational Speaker for Your Event

Although inspirational and motivational speakers in India have a lot of crossover, we’d say the biggest difference is that a motivational speaker can get your audience to take action. To make a change. To do something that will move a company or an industry forward. The best motivational speakers like Naseer Khan empower their audiences to see the world (or just one issue) differently.

Motivational speakers are particularly important in business, because motivation is the primary fuel organizations run on. Your staff must be properly motivated for your organization to work. If you are having problems with staff morale or work ethic, the solution might not be hiring new staff, it might just be re-motivating the staff you already have. Many of motivational speakers in India also do in-house trainings for your staff, each to their own particular expertise. If you are going to bring in a professional motivational speaker for a keynote, why not book both a speaking engagement and an in-depth training session to follow it?

To book the best motivational speaker for your conference, seminar, or meeting, the first thing you need to do is determine what outcome you would like. What is your goal for the meeting? What are your objectives for your audience? What are they needing to learn or to do? What action might you like them to take; what new understanding would you like them to move forward with? Once you know that, finding the best motivational speaker is easy.

In India, one of our strongest benefits is the personalized service we offer to vet speakers for you, and then offer you a short list of the very best motivational speakers for your unique needs.

Our motivational speakers will match their message to your meeting’s goals and your audience’s needs. Video tapes are available for you to see the speaker “in action” before you book him or her.

How can we help you book the best motivational speaker for your meeting, conference, or event today? We are one of the best event management companies in India. We can hook you up with Naseer Khan too.

Naseer comes from very humble beginnings. One amongst 9 siblings, he started working as a door-to-door salesman when he was 18. He is an M.B.A. from University of Macerata, Italy. He is also an M.A. in English Literature and Political Science.
